I have so many wonderful things waiting to be added to the shop. On my latest shopping trip, I lucked up upon so many oversize tapestry handbags and two perfect dresses for the spring. As a new mother, time these days are pretty limited and I have to find random moments to sneak in vintage shopping and photographing... I hear the early months of motherhood are the most difficult and time consuming... so bear with me my good friends as I continue to support your vintage needs :) My new plan for Mod Human is to update the shop every Monday with 'brand new' vintage finds. These gems photographed above will be included in my next shop update 3/5 (Monday) ... stay tune

lady bags
This past Monday I've returned from the hospital with a baby boy :) The labor was very long and thankfully I stayed strong and stuck with my decision of having a natural birth (no medicine)... After never ending pushes, Jared was born 8 pounds and 6 ounces. Let me just note, that's 'a lot' of baby for a petite individual like myself. It's amazing to not only be the wife of my beloved 'mr. rugged' but to now be a new mommy to our little tot. Life has certainly welcomed me into a brand new chapter this year.

not your granny's bag
For the greatest while (in the beginning) I've only sold vintage handbags and luckily build relationships with customers based on this fact. Somehow as years gone by and I've continued to scout and sell vintage, I've open my shop to featuring just more than purses. Mod Human now has an array of vintage jewelry, shoes, scarves and dresses. This is certainly a great thing but I must admit that sometimes on rare occasions, I miss focusing on my first vintage love... the glorious handbag. Why? Because I'm forever infatuated with how women can mix and match their wardrobe to compliment any... yes any vintage handbag available.

shop update...
This week I really lucked up and found all sorts of wonderful goodies for the shop. Most of these pieces came from an estate sale (small town, south of Atlanta) ... And boy was I impressed! This dear lady had an amazing selection of retro handbags and furs to choose from. Although the fur was beautiful, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor little animals who suffered, therefore I opted out of purchasing any fur pieces. By the way, I'm 20 weeks (pregnant) and sometimes my loopy emotions get the best of me, causing me to have minor emotional breakdowns during random spurts of the day.
But on the flip side, I did get first dibs on the great handbags and happily purchased each and every one :) My absolute favorite is the oversize Southwestern Doctor Satchel and I swore to myself that I would absolutely NOT sell it... but somehow it has made its way into the shop :) I figured some sweet guy or gal could give it a great home and get much more use out of it.

Shop Update....
Here are all the goodies found on a recent shopping trip to Athens. My absolute favorite find is definitely the 1920s Tapestry Handbag. It's a rare beauty and I almost cried when my husband spotted it (for me)
