vintage home / bar area

When friends need a recommendation for wine or a great cocktail, I'm usually the first they call. There's something magical about creating fancy drinks and sipping delicious wine. After my delivery in February, I'm planning on revamping the bar area in my house. Here are a few ideas that I'm keen on.

bathroom accessory: eight legs

Found this photograph on Design Sponge... There's an old timey, vintage essence about this shower curtain. I'm certainly am not a fan of the octopus creature, however I am a fan of this creepy yet slightly whimsical bathroom curtain.

My aunt was given the fabulous gift of excellent upholstery skills and I must admit, I'm a tad bit jealous! I'm determined to learn this craft... I just love the idea of revamping vintage furniture into modern pieces for the home.

interior design therapy

I've recently moved into a new home w/ my fiance' and I must admit, we are totally obsessed with home decor. Pottery Barn, West Elm, flea markets and thrift stores are a few favorite spots of ours we enjoy shopping. The spaces above are ever so' inspiring.

I have a thing for photography, and I'm enjoying this simple approach to displaying one's art.

birthday treat...

Vintage Cocktails, $50

The Satorialist, $25

Domino: The Book of Decoration, $32

Tim Walker Pictures, $125

I Love Your Style, $19.99

There is nothing more fascinating then flipping through a rather large, vivid, coffee table book! My collection keeps growing at a rapid pace...never quite giving me the chance to take a break from purchasing these lovely reads. With my birthday steadily approaching (December 8th), I'm thinking about taking a trip to Anthropologie & treating myself.

Monday Thought...

It looks like I will finally be able to purchase a new car soon. I took up a part time gig to help 'fund' my additional needs, retail splurges & travel habits :) Also, I am thinking about creating an online antique furniture shop. However, I am concerned about the shipping & pick-up issue. Will I be limited to local pick-ups only? Will shipping tremendously large furniture, be affordable for my customers?!? In the meantime, I'm going to do more research and If all goes well, hopefully I could get everything up & running by October/November...just in time for the HOLIDAYS!

If you have any advice on starting an online furniture store, please send me a message. I will love to get some insider's advice before I jump into it :)
