thursday afternoon + shop update...

It's a Thursday afternoon and Mr. Rugged and I are headed to Athens to go antiquing and vintage shopping for new inventory. Athens is home of University of Georgia and just 1 hour outside of Atlanta. I hope to find a large variety of one of a kind treasures... accompanied by a nice lunch too.

The tough girl act only last but for so long in my book...No wardrobe should be denied of soft, feminine details. Although leather remains a staple in my closet, no lady should go without a classic, tapestry kelly bag...vintage of course :)

perfect mannequin...

For the longest I have put off purchasing a beautiful, antique mannequin for the shop, and I have now come to terms with the fact that I can no longer put this matter off any longer. Last winter, I came across a gorgeous Wolf mannequin that was in decent condition for about $70.00...I told the owner that I would have to think about it for a few days and unfortunately shortly after, his shop burned down. I still beat myself up for not trusting my instinct that day...wish me luck with finding the perfect mannequin...

now selling vintage clothing...

After receiving various request for vintage clothing, I'm very excited to inform my lovely customers that I will now be offering a nice selection of one-of-a kind vintage dresses, tops, bottoms, and jewelry! The shop has been updated and the three gorgeous dresses above are now available.
Now it's time for sleep, as I have a great deal of work to do in the morning...

clogs state of mind...

CLOGS CRAZE

Lately I have been very obsessed with finding the perfect pair of clogs to wear with my summer dresses and skirts...I remember I had a fantastic white leather pair in Middle School...and believe it or not I was considered a nerd for wearing them..oh how times have changed :)
Here are a few that I absolutely love...especially the Mui Mui floral print pair!

random weekend...

This past weekend was laid back...with perfect weather and the company of good friends/family, I took it easy and enjoyed the ability to just relax. There were numerous events happening around Atlanta over the weekend such as The Dogwood festival, (which I would of loved to have attended) however the thought of sitting in traffic for hours quickly erased that event off the list :)
Above are some items that were added to the shop over the weekend! I'm actually very surprise at how much work I was able to complete...Hopefully there will be more handbags added throughout the day :)

p.s.
Karen (little sister) will be returning home this evening from her 6month Australia trip!
I'm very excited to head to the airport to pick her up...am I the only one who actually gets extremely happy visiting airports???  ;)

tapestry markdowns...

Many of the Tapestry Handbags have been marked down 25-50% off in the shop...please visit to view more.
On another note: I had a nice, long weekend...enjoying the majority of my time at the beach on Amelia Island. The weather was perfect and the island's beaches were beautiful and quite. This was my first time visiting and I'm already planning my next stay in the 'hopeful' near future.
Photographs of the trip are to come...check in the next blog post.
