Mr. Rugged @ a sample sale (Chelsea Market)

Mr. Rugged and I have finally returned home yesterday, from our intensely fun trip (New York and Philadelphia)
On several occasions I've visit the city, yet never actually had time to explore all of its wonders. This time around we toured the entire big apple (every nook and cranny of Manhattan) and sampled some tasty food along the way. My thoughts on New York?... "well, for starters I have my own personal theory that New Yorkers are living swell" due to everyone's casualty of shopping and eating out on the regular. Seems like the place for me when I was in my early 20's... Here are a few snap shots from our trip.

holiday weekend...

For us Americans, it's that time of the year again... where we usually pack up our bags and head out of town for the holiday weekend... the 4th of July that is. Mr. Rugged and I have yet to make plans however I'm hoping we find a river or lake near by so that we may go tubing! :) Any nice tubing spots in Atlanta? Oh well, wish us luck!
What are your plans for the 4th?

A Day in San Francisco...

A few weeks ago, Mr. Rugged & I drove across country to his hometown in Northern California...This was my first time visiting No-Cal and I absolutely loved it...so much that we are now planning on moving there (after our wedding next year.) The two of us spent a night at Pier 39 and Fishermans Wharf. I was happy to sample some of the world's most popular clam chowder (which is traditionally served in a sour-dough bread bowl...)
My thoughts of San Francisco...simply a dream.

what: Waterfire, Warwick, Roger Williams Park, Federal Hill, College Hill
when: Sat, 9-11-2010

On Saturday, I will be taking a 3 day trip to Providence, RI. This weekend excursion will consist of hanging out with my younger sisters, along with helping her settle into a new apartment. I look forward to truly discovering the city of Providence, unlike the last time I've visited nearly 3 years ago. There is a substantial amount of items that sis and I must purchase for the apartment, for example a toaster oven, curtains and colorful kitchen utensils. Below I have put together an itinerary for my visit to ensure that I get the most out of my stay...

Itinerary:

Saturday: Visit the historic mansions and vineyards in Newport, RI
Water Fire/ downtown Providence
Nightlife- Hookah Bar/ downtown Providence
Sunday: The RISD Museum (rhode island school of design)
Brown University (for the architecture)
Shopping for sister's apartment and decorating...
Monday: Visit Boston, MA for a day...
Tuesday: Departure

If time allows a quick excursion to Boston, MA :)

Saturday morning Mr. Rugged and I made our way to Huntsville, Alabama over the weekend.
We opt for the scenic route and took in beautiful landscapes like the sunflower field above...the view was so gorgeous that we decided to pull over and take pictures...shortly after we enjoyed waffles for breakfast.

Fashion Trends & Styles - Polyvore

I'm currently searching for the perfect poolside outfit this summer. Rompers just seem to be simple and easy without sacrificing too much style. The stripe romper above is classic...

case of the monday's pt 2...

Today was sort of a drag...I had high hopes on adding a ton of vintage bags to the shop and in the mist of working, the internet crashed. It took almost 8+ hours to have it fixed and now....the day is gone. Hopefully I will have better luck tommorrow with adding all of the goodies I found over this past weekend's trip...However as for now, above are a few items that I were in fact thankfully able to list :)

tapestry markdowns...

Many of the Tapestry Handbags have been marked down 25-50% off in the shop...please visit to view more.
On another note: I had a nice, long weekend...enjoying the majority of my time at the beach on Amelia Island. The weather was perfect and the island's beaches were beautiful and quite. This was my first time visiting and I'm already planning my next stay in the 'hopeful' near future.
Photographs of the trip are to come...check in the next blog post.

rainy weekend update...

This weekend has been filled with big drops of rain, gray clouds and loud thunderstorms....I love these kind of days, because I am able to get cozy in my home office with a cup of tea and load new vintage items into the shop.  I think I do my best work on 'rainy days'...what do you like to do when it's gloomy outside?
